We are looking for a
Senior Pool Maintenance Engineer
to join our team -- someone who is confident, experienced, and capable of delivering exceptional results with minimal supervision.
The Role
This senior position is ideal for an engineer who has spent years in the industry and is now seeking a role where their expertise is respected and where the work is varied, technical and rewarding.
You will:
Carry out complex maintenance visits, seasonal openings/closings and advanced diagnostics
Troubleshoot and repair pumps, filters, heaters, dosing systems, ASHPs and automation, and leak detection
Service and fault-find on automatic pool cover systems, Saunas & steam rooms
Support engineering projects such as plant-room upgrades, refurbishments and equipment modernisation
Uphold and enhance the high standards associated with Mermaid Leisure Ltd
Serve as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced team members
Requirements
You must have:
Minimum 10 years' industry experience
in pool maintenance, servicing, repairs and refurbishments
Be looking for long term employment within our company
ISPE qualifications
You must be very particular with an excellent eye for quality workmanship
Be strong in managing your own workload for maximum efficiency
Experience with automatic pool covers
Some experience fitting pool liners
Strong, practical understanding of pool hydraulics, filtration, heating and water chemistry
Excellent fault-finding ability across mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Be adaptable and cope well with seasonal pressure
Full UK driving licence
Strong ability to work independently and represent the company at a senior level
Experience with pool refurbishments
Experienced & capable of learning software at a good rate (training given)
Able to provide references on request
Highly beneficial:
Experience leading maintenance projects or overseeing refurbishments
Any other Industry accreditations, specialist manufacturer training, or relevant training
