Job Overview:

As an experienced Tractor Driver at Royalington Turf and Transport, you will play a key role in maintaining the efficient operation of our farm and production facilities. You will operate a range of New Holland Tractors and related equipment to support turf harvesting, field maintenance, and general farm operations. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operations and high-quality turf products for our customers.

In season flexibility on overtime is a must due to changing weather conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery Operations:

Safely operate a range of agricultural machinery, including tractors, mowers, and other field cultivation equipment, to carry out various turf production and maintenance tasks. Assist in the harvesting, processing, and transport of turf rolls to designated areas. Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working order, reporting any faults or issues promptly. Operate machinery for land preparation, including ploughing, cultivating, seeding and mowing. Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Collaborate with the team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks. Follow safety guidelines and best practices for equipment operation and field work. Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment usage, and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a tractor driver or in a similar agricultural machinery role. Full, clean driving license (Category B or higher). In-depth knowledge of tractor and farm equipment operations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures. Previous experience with turf farming or in an agricultural setting is highly desirable. Physical fitness and stamina to work outdoors for extended periods and perform manual tasks as needed. Excellent communication kills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Willing to problem solve in the field is a must i.e using tooling to adjust height. Ability to work long hours and overtime when required (as it is weather dependent role; being flexible on weekends is a must).

Preferred Qualifications:

Agricultural machinery certification or similar qualifications are a plus. Experience with GPS and precision farming technologies is an advantage. Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance repair.
