Job Description

We are a successful local business within the window industry who pride ourselves on our reputation. We have been supplying and fitting both to the trade and public for almost 40 years and are looking to expand the team. We are currently seeking a Double Glazing Installation Manager's Assistant whose primary focus will be working with our Installation Manager.

The successful candidate will be able to ensure that all works are completed to strict deadlines and to an acceptable quality and standard in order to facilitate immediate payment from the customer.

As the position involves liaising with customers, manufacturers and colleagues regularly, excellent communication skills are therefore paramount to the role.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Plan and schedule upcoming works for installation teams Process customer orders promptly and accurately, ensuring all details are correct. Ensure all orders comply with manufacturer requirements and building code standards. Submit finalized orders to vendors and manufacturers for fulfilment. Track order status and proactively update customers and internal teams on lead times and delivery schedules. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in our database. Coordinate with shipping, receiving, to ensure timely and correct delivery. Including unloading of lorries and efficiently storing items Uphold excellent phone etiquette while interacting with customers, providing a professional and friendly service.

Key Skills:

1-3 years of experience in order processing, data entry, or inside sales, preferably in the windows and doors or building materials industry. Must have current/recent experience Order Processing windows and doors Ability to read and interpret product specifications, purchase orders, and basic construction documents. Be able to manage own workload Excellent attention to detail Must currently reside in the UK
Experience of working within the double glazing industry is essential.
