The role

As an Explosive Handling Jetty (EHJ) Maintenance Engineer you\'ll have a role that\'s out of the ordinary. This is a pivotal role to support operations within the explosive handling jetty in HM naval base Clyde

Day to day, you\'ll assist the Explosive Handling Jetty EHJ Crane Manager in maximising the utilisation of all the section\'s resource

• Implementation of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in the EHJ crane maintenance area of the business ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
• Identify, analyse, investigate, diagnose, and generate solutions to problems for any crane issues within the Facility.
• Investigate, plan, progress and manage a variety of crane related projects within the Facility.
• Produce, review and amend planned preventative maintenance documentation.

Please note candidates need to be comfortable working at heights.

Essential experience of the Explosive Handling Jetty (EHJ) Maintenance Engineer:

• EHJ crane systems and equipment.
• Fault finding and defect rectification
• Safe Systems of Work.
• Maintenance management.

This role is based full time on site at Coulport.

Qualifications for the Explosive Handling Jetty (EHJ) Maintenance Engineer:

• HNC in Engineering Discipline or Equivalent Industry experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
