We have an exciting opportunity for an Export Coordinator to join the Logistics team to cover a period of Maternity Leave.
As part of the Distribution administration team, you are responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of international shipments, ensuring compliance with export regulations and customer requirements. This role involves working closely with internal teams, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to global customers.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Prepare and manage accurate export documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, shipping instructions).
Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, couriers, and logistics partners.
Monitor and track outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery and meet customer expectations.
Ensure compliance with international trade laws, sanctions, and export controls (e.g., Incoterms, HS codes, customs declarations).
Responsible for the preparation of all relevant documentation, following Chamber of Commerce regulations to ensure goods can clear customs without delay and are dispatched in line with customers' requirements.
Liaise with internal departments (sales, production, warehouse, spares) to confirm product availability, preparing pallets and shipping readiness.
Maintain detailed shipping records and logs for audit and reporting purposes.
Manage customer communications regarding shipment status, delays, and documentation needs.
Support the resolution of issues related to customs holds, damaged goods, or transportation delays.
Optimise export processes for cost, efficiency, and accuracy.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and logistics trends impacting international trade.
Work flexibly as across the distribution office function by covering for holidays and absence where required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Proven experience in export coordination, logistics, or international shipping
Knowledge of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
