Job Description

ACS International School Hillingdon are seeking an enthusiastic Extended Daycare Coordinator to provide support within our Lower School department (for students aged 4 - 10 years).

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Extended Daycare Coordinator to oversee and manage our new Extended Day program for Lower School students. The Coordinator will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating after school environment that supports the development and well-being of each child. The role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and enrichment activities.

Key responsibilities

1. Planning & Organisation



Design and implement a variety of structured activities that cater to students' interests and needs, including art and craft, STEM projects, outdoor play and games. Manage organising sign-ups and payments Keep records of attendance Manage sign in /sign out process. Ensure program materials are well organised and maintained. Ensure rooms are available and well set out with appropriate equipment Ensure any additional spaces are cleared and ready for use the next day for regular school

2. Activity Facilitation & Communication



Lead the daily operation of the Extended Care Program, ensuring the safety, engagement and supervision of the students. Oversee the assistant to ensure they are properly supporting the program and the activities Maintain clear and positive communication with parents regarding student behaviour, achievements and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a positive environment by encouraging respectful behaviour, cooperation, and conflict resolution. Liaise with teachers and the Lower School office to ensure smooth running of the after-school club Log all medical, behaviour or safeguarding issues. Ensures the ACS Community enjoy a first-class customer service experience

3. Child Safety



Ensure children are supervised at all times, managing transitions between activities and ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere Ensure that all safety procedures are followed, maintaining a safe environment. Foster a positive environment, handle conflicts, and implement behaviour management strategies that encourage cooperation, respect and personal responsibility in accordance with the school behaviour guidelines and the ACS Behaviour Policy Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to Address accidents and incidents and provide first aid where necessary. Be aware of students' health concerns including allergies Ensure students are safely picked up by parents and students are signed out Wait with students until picked up by parents

4. Other Duties



Maintain high levels of confidentiality and diplomacy, responding appropriately and promptly to students, parents, staff and visitors. To ensure operations in a healthy and safe environment. Lead by example, exemplifying the ACS International Schools values - Imagine Better, Welcome Everyone, Aim High & Make It Happen, Work Together, and Act With Kindness. To act as an ambassador for ACS International Schools at all times

Knowledge and Experience Required:



Experience



Experience of working with children in an educational, child care or after school setting is preferred Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification preferred Paediatric First Aid qualification desirable - this must be attained within 4 weeks of start date

Skills



Strong organisational and leadership abilities Ability to plan and lead engaging age-appropriate activities Excellent communication skills with students, parents and teachers A caring energetic and patient demeanour Knowledge of child safety protocols and behaviour management strategies Able to command respect of students of all ages and to manage their needs.

August 2025

Working hours:



Mondays, Tuesday and Thursday 3.30- 6pm

Wednesday's 2:45pm - 6pm

Friday's 3:30pm - 5:00pm
