External Sales Executive

Job Description

Arnold Laver, part of the National Timber Group are looking to recruit an External Sales Executive to join the sales team based at Bradford.

A hard-working, multi-tasker with a strong drive to get it right first time who is able to adapt style and tone to suit our varied-customer base. They need to be able to switch between tasks at short notice as required by the business with a proactive approach to both the core tasks and helping others.

Experience is essential for this role.

Duties will include:



Working pro-actively within the sales team Achieve the area sales budget in assigned territory in the assigned area to assist the branch in its achievement of overall monthly and yearly budget objectives, via increased margin & turnover. Prospecting for new customers. Prospecting for new business sectors. Maintaining and developing existing business relationships. Demonstrate sales excellence. Maintain the company CRM system in line with sales management process. Liaising with company management to support and implement growth strategies Controlling and maintaining your allocated customer accounts Increasing the number of trading customer accounts and ensuring that this business grows Ensuring that all customers trade within their agreed credit terms and resolving queries in order to ensure prompt payment Processing orders accurately Answer telephone queries

The candidate will have:



Passion for opening new trading accounts. A self-motivated, hungry, enthusiastic and ambitious personality. Drive to exceed sales and margin targets. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Proven track record in sales. Knowledge in respect to the timber industry and timber products is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. Good communication skills. Demonstrate commercial awareness.

Working hours, Benefits and Salary:



Full time position, Monday-Friday. Competitive salary commensurate with relevant skills and experience. Company car, mobile phone and laptop provided with the role .
