Key Responsibilities (External Wall Insulation Installer): Survey external walls to assess suitability for insulation, identify structural or moisture-related issues, and determine required preparation work. Prepare external surfaces by cleaning, repairing cracks, removing loose render, and applying primer or bonding agents as needed. Install external wall insulation systems (e.g., expanded polystyrene (EPS), mineral wool, phenolic boards) in line with design specifications and industry standards. Fix insulation boards securely using adhesives and mechanical fixings, ensuring correct alignment and coverage. Apply reinforcement layers such as mesh and base coats to prepare for final rendering or cladding. Install weatherproof finishes including render, brick slips, or cladding to protect insulation and enhance building appearance. Ensure proper detailing around openings, eaves, downpipes, and other architectural features to maintain insulation continuity and prevent thermal bridging. Maintain site cleanliness and safety, including safe handling, transportation, and storage of insulation and rendering materials. Comply with all health and safety regulations, especially those related to working at height, use of scaffolding, and handling construction materials. Record installation details, take photographic evidence where necessary, and report any deviations or issues to the site supervisor or project manager
