Key Responsibilities (Internal Wall Insulation Installer):
Assess internal walls to determine insulation requirements, identify moisture or structural issues, and plan the appropriate installation method.
Prepare wall surfaces by clearing furniture, removing fittings, and ensuring the area is clean and accessible for installation.
Install internal wall insulation materials (e.g., rigid foam boards, insulated plasterboard, mineral wool) according to specifications and building regulations.
Ensure accurate fitting of insulation around features such as sockets, light switches, pipework, and window or door frames.
Maintain adequate ventilation and address potential condensation risks by integrating vapor barriers and breathable materials where required.
Seal gaps, joints, and thermal bridges to enhance the thermal performance and airtightness of the insulated wall system.
Cut and fit insulation materials precisely using appropriate hand or power tools, following safety protocols.
Handle, transport, and store insulation materials safely, preventing damage or degradation.
Comply with all health and safety regulations, especially those related to working indoors, handling insulation, and working in occupied properties.
Document installation details, including materials used, areas treated, and any issues encountered, and report them to the project supervisor or client.
