Summary

We are seeking an Extrusion Operator to join our dynamic team at Deceuninck Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. Your contributions will be vital to our production efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

Learn from O2-O3 and Leading Operators, Extrusion skills including problem solving, from receiving raw material to the finished product. Pack extruded profiles to fulfil demand at highest quality standards following correct procedures. Support Tool Room personnel with cleaning calibrators where knowledge or experience permits. Learn how to record all necessary data on Production Run Sheet, Process Condition Sheet and Daily Log. Adhere to the strict Quality Control and carry out regular inspections as per procedures IE: O.P.C. Bow checks use of jigs line cards. Follow the production work schedule as set out including colours changes, order changes etc in order to meet production deadlines. Control Scrap level to approved minimum, following correct procedures and informing relevant personnel of any issues. Maintain production department to a high standard adhering to procedures and policies keeping all areas clean, tidy and safe leading to a disciplined work environment. Maintain required Logistical procedures complying with correct and safe transportation of Products in accordance to approved procedures/policies. To adhere to Health and Safety Policy and observe Safety Manual at all times including use of PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment). Communicate all activities and immediately report all Incidents/Accidents or non conformities through agreed procedures, policies, or standards to Leading Operator or Production Manager To work with diligence and self development to widen own knowledge of extrusion process and to the full consumer satisfaction in the Team Work manner. To be able to recognise all materials, profiles and adhere to Product Identification Procedure. To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time. Insure correct use of MES scanners are carried out
42 hours per week. Worked as 12 hours shifts, 3 on 3 off, alternating days (06.00 - 18.00) and nights (18.00 - 06.00)
