Shift Extrusion Operator

Aquaspira manufacture flexible Composite Steel Reinforced pipes and custom-made fabrication fluid systems for the utility and construction industries. Since 2007 we have supplied the UK market from our manufacturing facility based in Nelson, Lancashire. We are expanding our production team and looking to recruit a new permanent extrusion operator to run our main extrusion line.

Extrusion Operator : Double Shift (Rotating 06.00-14.30 then 14.00-22.30)

Start pay = 13.00 per hour, +0.50 shift premium.

Full training will be provided, initially training will be on days (07:00-15:30) moving to shift working once competent. The main areas of responsibility will be:

Ensure compliance with Company Health and Safety standards.

To be trained to oversee the operation of an extrusion production line.

Understand standard production processes and react to deviations.

Deliver quality output, work to daily production targets.

Keep working area clean and ordered.

Support the shift team in production related tasks.

Physically fit, capable of handling manual tasks, the use of small hand tools / power tools.

Experience of working in a factory and previous extrusion experience is advantageous, having a flexible can do attitude and working energetically is essential.
