We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS SEN Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, including autism and other disabilities. This role involves providing high-quality care and education to our children, fostering their development in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of each child.
Provide individualised support for children with autism and other disabilities, ensuring their inclusion in all activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for development.
Collaborate with other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) for children with special educational needs.
Support children in daily routines such as feeding, nappy changing, and personal hygiene.
Promote positive behaviour management strategies to encourage social skills and emotional development.
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is essential.
A background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
Strong teaching skills with the ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
A caring attitude towards children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
