They have an exciting opportunity for a Facade Consultant to join our London office. This role will report to the Regional Manager - UK and will you will be involved in a range of large scale curtain wall projects from concept stage to completion. You will also work with a variety of clients, including well known architects, builders and developers and assist in the design and delivery of memorable, awe-inspiring buildings.
About the Role
The role includes:

• Contribute to the design and engineering of curtain wall and cladding systems, as well as specialty systems (i.e. structural glass, cables, ETFE etc.)
• Understanding of design and build-ability of fa\xc3\xa7ade systems including material knowledge and installation techniques
• Coordinate with other project consultants such as Architects and Builders to determine best practice fa\xc3\xa7ade design outcomes
• Provide hand design sketches, develop reports for all stages of the project from conception to completion
• Preparation of fee proposals
• Write specifications and respond to site and construction related queries
• Assist and coordinate with other members of the consulting team in the preparation of project deliverables
• Provide assistance during construction of fa\xc3\xa7ade systems including attendance mock-up testing, shop drawing reviews and conduct factory & site inspections
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members

• Master degree in Architecture (or 5 year equivalent) or Bachelor degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
• Significant experience working in the construction industry
• Extensive familiarity with fa\xc3\xa7ade systems, fa\xc3\xa7ade design, materials and fabrication / manufacture
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
• Ability to hand sketch for presentation purposes
• Client and team focused
• Knowledge of relevant standards and codes for fa\xc3\xa7ades and services
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Planning and organisational skills
• Be flexible to meet varied demands of the role
