Part Time, Permanent position.

We are Stoned Kids - an established dance costume company with our atelier located in Portishead. We are looking for a skilled, experienced, creative seamstress to join our current team.

We create unique dance costumes for freestyle disco dance competitions. We are very creative, edgy, and always experimenting, and we are looking for an individual who can compliment our great team. You will be mainly producing individual costumes from start to finish, but also doing alterations, cutting fabrics and helping the team with small sewing tasks when needed.

You should love sewing and creating beautiful garments, be good with time management and be able to work under pressure from time to time. Any experience with active wear, dancewear or simply stretch fabrics is an advantage, but not mandatory. We are looking for a person with a positive can-do attitude who likes a challenge, is able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Happy to utilise and share your own experience while willing to learn new skills and techniques in a positive collaborative environment.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in sewing, tailoring, and fabric cutting techniques
- Ability to interpret and follow patterns and measurements accurately
- Knowledge of garment construction and alterations

Full training provided, 3-month probationary period. After this time, your position will be reviewed based on progress and requirements met.

Pay: 13 per hour
Expected hours between 16 - 32 per week
