Purpose of Role


We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Joiner to join our team, dedicated to supporting the Curry's National Distribution Centre in Newark.


This is a varied role carrying out both day-to-day building maintenance and joinery duties, as well as supporting installation projects on-site and occasionally at other client locations (all travel provided).

Responsibilities


Undertake building fabric maintenance and repairs, including doors, fire door maintenance, fixtures, fittings, ceiling/floor tiles, and other fabric works. Carry out joinery duties to a high standard in line with client and site requirements. Support with minor plumbing (taps, toilets, sinks, flow checks, flushing) and basic electrical works (emergency lighting, lamp/ballast changes). Deliver installation projects as requested by the client. Work independently and as part of the team to ensure the smooth running of the distribution centre. Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 9 weeks), with opportunities for regular overtime.

Essential Qualifications/Skills


NVQ-qualified Joiner Proven experience in building fabric maintenance, ideally within commercial or retail environments. Competent across multiple trades including joinery, fabric repairs, and minor plumbing/electrical. Strong understanding of safe working practices and compliance. IT literate and comfortable using tablets or PDAs for job logging. Flexible and reliable, with the ability to travel when required (expenses covered).
