Job Summary
You will be responsible for overseeing a team of welders/fabricators to ensure the production schedule is met whilst upholding the highest standards of safety and quality
Hours of work:
Monday - Thursday 07:00-17:30

Key Responsibilities:
Organise and prioritise workload for the team based on the needs of the production schedule ensuring that the fabrication department meet production deadlines.
Responsible for the day to day running of the fabrication department, being the first point of contact for all day to day operational and people related matters.
Ensure that all the products welded adhere to the highest quality standards
Update the production schedule when necessary and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed by the department.
Update Production Manager on all output, quality and health + safety matters
Ensure that the department is fully compliant with statutory and Company health and safety standards.
Responsible for people management of the team including managing absence and performance with the support of Production Manager and HR.
Motivating the team to achieve production deadlines
Essential
2 + years' recent experience as a Fabrication Team Leader/Supervisor managing a team of welders and fabricators
5+ Welding and fabrication experience
2 + years recent experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment where you were responsible for reading and analysing a production schedule to enable you to organise and prioritise workload for the team.
Experienced in working to required production deadlines
Ability to read, understand and interpret detailed fabrication drawings to support fabricators/welders
Effective people management and strong leadership skills
Strong understanding and experience of H&S in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities in ensuring that statutory and company H&S standards were adhered to.
