The Handrail People is a small, friendly company based in Worthing, West Sussex. We manufacture quality handrails and balustrades for domestic and commercial premises nationwide.

Summary

We are seeking a Workshop assistant, to assist our fabrication team. This role is vital to our mission of delivering high-quality products, ensuring that every detail meets our exceptional standards.

Responsibilities

Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble products. Cutting, drilling, measuring and cleaning materials. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Ensure all fabricated items meet quality standards before installation. Collaborate with team members to improve production processes. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Packing goods for despatch. Occasional on-site installation of handrails and balustrades.
The successful candidate would also be given the opportunity to learn to weld, with a view of eventually becoming a fabricator.

Qualifications

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and metal work. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Mechanical knowledge is a plus. A full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
