Loom Furniture is a UK-based design and manufacturing company, creating high-quality contemporary furniture that blends modern aesthetics with timeless craftsmanship. From our Chelsea showroom and workshop, we supply bespoke and production furniture to clients across the UK and internationally.

We are now looking for a skilled Furniture Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for metalwork and a strong eye for detail, who enjoys turning raw steel into beautifully finished furniture.

The Role

As our Furniture Welder, you will be responsible for producing mild steel furniture frames and components using MIG welding techniques. You'll work closely with our design and production teams to bring creative concepts to life, while maintaining the high standards of quality Loom Furniture is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate mild steel furniture frames and bespoke items. Carry out MIG welding to a high standard, producing strong, consistent welds. Read and interpret technical drawings, ensuring accuracy in fabrication. Measure, cut, and prepare steel using workshop tools (saws, grinders, jigs, clamps). Finish welded pieces through grinding and polishing, preparing them for powder coating or painting. Maintain welding equipment and follow health & safety procedures. Collaborate with the wider workshop team to meet production schedules.

Skills & Experience

Proven MIG welding experience (preferably in furniture or light fabrication). Strong knowledge of working with mild steel. Ability to read and work from technical drawings. Skilled in using fabrication tools and workshop machinery. Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work. Knowledge of workshop health & safety practices.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
