Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee our fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication processes, with a focus on ensuring high-quality production standards. This role requires excellent leadership abilities, mechanical knowledge, and the capability to manage a team effectively while maintaining safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Oversee the use of various welding/cutting machiner. Manage the operation of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to produce sheet metal components. Conduct regular inspections of fabricated products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements. Provide training and support to team members on fabrication techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimise fabrication processes and improve product designs. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including material usage, labour hours, and output levels. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience in a environment with a strong understanding of PVC window/door fabrication. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment is essential. Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Experience in assembly processes related to fabricated components is advantageous. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage.
