Are you an experienced facade access engineer, and do you want to work on interesting and challenging projects?


The Ramboll Facade Engineering team are looking for an experienced access consultant to join their team and help develop the discipline whilst working on fantastic schemes at various stages of design, in the UK and abroad. Projects include new build high rise developments, commercial offices, airports, hospitals, hotels and stadiums together with modernisation projects for clients including managing agents.


To succeed in this role, you must have technical skills and experience with a detailed knowledge of applicable Standards and Regulations and a customer focus to deliver over and above client expectations. Are you our new Principal/Associate Facade Access engineer?

Your new role




You will be part of a growing team that provides technical solutions and advice across the Ramboll business. The facade access services sit within the facade engineering team providing ideal opportunity for collaboration and growth both for the individual and the discipline.


Your key responsibilities will be:

Lead and manage facade access consultancy projects from inception through to completion. Develop strategic plans for facade access teams growth that align with the company's overall objectives. Provide expert advice on the design, installation, and maintenance of facade access systems. Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure the feasibility and safety of access solutions. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate facade access systems within building designs. Work closely with colleagues in other geographies to ensure consistency and share best practices. Drive business development initiatives to expand the facade access consultancy services. Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the market to increase the company's footprint. Stay updated with current industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to facade access. Mentor and guide a team of consultants and junior staff. Manage client relationships and ensure excellent service delivery. Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

About you



Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional qualifications or memberships related to facade access are highly desirable. Minimum of 10 years of experience in facade access consultancy or related roles. Proven track record of managing complex projects and teams. In-depth knowledge of facade access systems, building regulations, and standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary and multi-geographic environment. Demonstrated experience in business development and growth strategies.
