We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Facades Manager
to oversee the design, procurement, and installation of facade systems on a landmark construction project in Belfast. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality facade solutions that meet design intent, programme, budget, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of facade works from design through to installation and handover.
Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Review and approve facade design drawings, calculations, and material specifications.
Monitor progress on-site, ensuring quality control, health & safety compliance, and adherence to programme.
Lead facade-related meetings and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and senior leadership.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with facade works.
Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, fire safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
Manage facade subcontractor performance, including cost control and variation management.
Support value engineering exercises and contribute to innovative facade solutions.
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience in facade management, delivering complex facade packages on time and within budget for large-scale construction projects.
Strong technical knowledge of curtain walling, cladding systems, glazing, and insulation.
Experience working with facade subcontractors and managing design coordination.
Excellent understanding of UK building regulations and facade performance standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Desirable Criteria:
Degree or equivalent Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience with BIM and digital construction tools.
Knowledge of sustainable facade technologies and materials.
