Vacancy: Part-Time Facilities Assistant - Domestic (Floor person with use of machinery) 15 hours per week (Monday to Friday, hours: 16:00 to 19:00)xc2xa39446 per annum (xc2xa312.08 per hour)The successful candidate will be required to work with a flexible approach across various wards and departmental teams, and form an integral part of the Facilities Department.The role will perform cleaning duties (including the operation of floor cleaning machinery) in all areas of our busy Healthcare premises, adhering to the required standards stipulated by the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.Previous cleaning and goods experience would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided. Candidates requiring sponsorship should review the eligibility criteria on the gov.uk website before applying to assess their eligibility for a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role."Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to work as part of the Facilities team, performing cleaning duties as required in all areas of the premises, to ensure standards meet the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.

• Use of cleaning equipment.
• To ensure strict adherence to all policies and procedures in relation to food hygiene, including HACCP, personal hygiene and cleaning down procedures.
• Clean all surfaces using appropriate methods to remove dust and debris.
• Remove / replace / clean curtains and blinds as necessary.
• Clean all hard floors and mop daily.
• Empty, clean and replenish waste bins.
• Seal waste bags and carry out appropriate waste disposal procedures.
• Clean internal glass and ledges.
• Clean all sanitary areas.
• Maintain equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Maintain and respect the privacy and dignity of patients whilst carrying out Facilities duties.
• Clean Beds.
• Clean furniture.
• Replenish consumables - paper towels, soap, toilet rolls etc.
• Adopt a flexible approach.
• Ensure the correct storage of all items.
• Collect, wash and return water jugs.
• To prepare and serve food and beverages as required.
• Assist with the service of patient, visitors and staff meals.
• Ensure that food presentation, portion control, temperature and quality standards are adhered to.
• To ensure security is maintained at all times.
• Completion of departmental paperwork as required.
