Job Purpose:
To support the effective day-to-day operational of facilities by ensuring a safe, clean, and well-
maintained working environment.
Provide a general administrative support service to the fee earners, secretaries and other
support staff within the office in line with the department's objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
This is not an exhaustive list and may be amended from time to time to meet departmental and
business needs.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing and preparing items
for despatch
  • Scan incoming post and forward to the relevant fee earners or secretaries
  • Assist with printing documents and arranging despatch
  • Respond to day-to-day facilities requests from staff and report any issues
  • Assist with meeting room preparation and office set-up for new starters
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks, room set-ups, and moving furniture or equipment
  • Provide reception cover when required, including greeting visitors, answering calls and
notifying staff of arrivals
  • Carry out basic health and safety checks and report hazards or faults
  • Support contractors and deliveries when required
  • Assist with managing office supplies, including stationery and kitchen items
  • Help keep the office clean, safe, and well presented at all times
  • Provide administrative support to other departments when time permits
  • Undertake additional tasks that are relevant to the typical responsibilities of a Facilities
department.

Essential

Academic achievements
5 GCSEs or equivalent at
grade C or above, including
Maths and English
Experience within the legal
6-months experience within a
profession

IT skills
Microsoft Outlook and Teams Microsoft Word and Excel,
TopDesk, Partner for Windows
