Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our building and grounds. Your duties will include setting up meeting rooms, conducting routine inspections, monitoring building security and access, and responding to maintenance requests promptly. You will assist with moving furniture, managing deliveries, and ensuring communal areas are clean, safe, and well-organized at all times. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you will also help coordinate with external contractors for repairs, servicing, and compliance checks.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently. Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or a similar role is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. You should be comfortable carrying out minor repairs, using basic hand tools, and following health and safety procedures. Good communication skills are required, as you'll interact with staff, visitors, and vendors regularly. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events is a plus.
