Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Domestic Facilities Assistant to join our team at



Manor Road, Carlton Nottingham a key site supporting adult mental health services. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both staff and service users.



You will be part of a dedicated facilities team that plays a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the service.



Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is 26.40 (standard) or 54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.



You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of 16 per year applies.



Key Responsibilities:



Daily cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas to a high standard

Restocking of cleaning materials and hygiene supplies

Ensuring hygiene and infection control standards are consistently met

Reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly



Additional Opportunities:



This role offers the opportunity to train and gain experience in other areas of the Facilities team, including:



Portering duties (e.g., moving equipment, supporting logistics)

Basic catering support (e.g., assisting with food service or preparation)

Facilities Services is part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate, delivering in-house soft FM services within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, across Nottinghamshire.

Hours:



15 hours per week

Early morning shifts, Monday to Friday

(No weekend or bank holiday working)
