Job Description

We're looking for a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across our site. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operations of the premises, including maintenance, health & safety compliance, and event setup.
You'll work closely with the Facilities Manager and contribute to a wide range of tasks that keep the site running smoothly and efficiently., * Assist with planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

  • Support fire safety checks and emergency procedures.
  • Carry out minor repairs and report defects.
  • Prepare areas for school functions and activities.
  • Monitor site safety during adverse weather conditions.
  • Support external contractors and ensure service standards are met.
  • Help maintain security systems, stock control, and site cleanliness.
  • GCSE-level qualifications or equivalent experience. * Basic Health & Safety knowledge. * Strong communication and organisational skills. * Ability to work independently and under pressure. * Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare. Desirable: * Experience in facilities management, ideally in an educational setting. * Knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems. * Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. * First Aid, Manual Handling, and Working at Height certifications. * Full UK driving license.
