At the Ferry Project, we provide safe accommodation and support to people experiencing homelessness and crisis. We're looking for a proactive, hands?on Facilities Co?ordinator to oversee all ferry project buildings including our hostels, community centre, cookery school and offices, maintain safe, welcoming, and well?run environments across our sites including 2 Grade?listed building. You will also work in partnership supporting the Donations Hub, where we collect and deliver furniture to those in need.

About the Role
This is a
20-hour per week
role leading our small facilities and maintenance team across multiple sites, ensuring our buildings are safe, compliant, and in excellent condition for clients, staff, community users and visitors.
Reporting to the Business Support Manager, you'll play a vital part in keeping our services running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Lead facilities operations across
all Ferry Project sites
:
hostels, community centre, cookery school, and office spaces
Oversee day?to?day facilities operations, maintenance, cleaning, and site safety
Line manage caretakers, maintenance operatives, a cleaner, and a driver
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across our buildings
Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and statutory checks
Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money
Maintain asset registers, compliance records, and inspection logs
Support sustainability initiatives across energy, water, and waste
Help preserve our Grade?listed building, working with conservation guidance
Respond to facilities-related issues and support staff across the organisation
About You

Knowledgeable about health & safety and compliance obligations
Confident leading and motivating facilities staff
Organised, solutions?focused, and able to prioritise
Comfortable working across multiple buildings and varied environments
A strong communicator who works well with contractors and colleagues
IT?literate with good record?keeping habits
Values-driven and aligned with
faith, integrity, respect, support, and trust
Relevant facilities qualifications or listed?building experience are helpful but not essential.
