Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to maintain the factory and site services to the appropriate standards, ensuring compliance with all audits.

Responsibilities

Drive maintenance and improvements in all factory and external areas.

Plan tasks and liaise with Engineering Manager and Stores Controller to ensure that suitable materials are available.

Respond to audit findings to ensure that actions are completed promptly.

Inspect areas and plan repairs and improvements.

Complete planned maintenance tasks as issued, documenting all findings.

Respond to reactive site services issues.

Complete simple alterations and repairs to electrical circuits and plumbing and drainage systems.

Maintain all lighting and Emergency lighting, documenting tests and carrying out remedial works as required.

Carry out routine water checks and tasks to comply with Approved Code of Practice L8, assisting contractors with the same.

Complete Fire extinguisher checks.

Carry out painting/decorating and minor building repairs.

Experience

Apprentice trained in a building trade or equivalent with an associated qualification.

BS7671:2018 IET wiring regulations beneficial.

Legionella operator/responsible person training beneficial.

Should be competent in plumbing, carpentry, painting, basic electrical and building works.

Ability to work on own initiative.

Able to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Working hours

40 hours per week, this is a day shift role and the hours will be flexile with opportunity to negotiate but the role will require some Sunday work.
