We are recruiting for a Facilities Engineer to help ensure the reliable operation of site infrastructure and cleanroom environments that enable successful manufacturing. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of plant and facilities systems, carrying out maintenance, fault resolution, and improvement projects, while playing a key role in health, safety, environmental compliance, and site emergency response within a dynamic, high-tech production environment.



Working hours are 2 days (7am - 7pm), 2 nights (7pm - 7am), 4 off, continuous rotating shift pattern (working 42 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities





Preventative and corrective maintenance of all the site's plant and equipment using site Facilities Maintenance system. Fault finding and repair of technical failures Undertaking improvement projects and tasks as part of the Facilities Team. Monitoring and maintaining control of the cleanroom environmental conditions provided to manufacturing to allow successful production to occur. Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed. Acting as part of the site Emergency Response Team, responsible for coordinating staff and liaising with emergency services during incidents. Addressing and resolving process and site failures in a timely manner. Providing technical support and supervision to vendors and contractors. Show a high level of commitment to achieving the business goals. Demonstrate a flexible attitude and level of commitment when working on systems and equipment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





HNC or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant industry experience. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Able to work independently or as part of a team, with clear communication skills. Highly organised, motivated, and disciplined with a positive, proactive attitude. Willing and able to participate in the site Emergency Response Team. Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment. Actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Competent IT skills, including experience with CMMS and BMS systems.
Practical knowledge of building services and facilities systems, including: + Process cooling water systems
+ 415V electrical distribution
+ HVAC systems, including temperature and humidity-controlled cleanrooms
+ Air compressors, large chillers, and cooling towers
+ High-purity gas and de-ionised water systems
+ Effluent treatment and pH neutralisation systems
+ Process exhaust systems and industrial boilers
Experience in routine mechanical and electrical maintenance. Understanding of statutory and legal compliance requirements. Electrical testing experience, including fixed wire and PAT testing. Prior experience using Building Management Systems is desirable. Previous experience in a Facilities or Maintenance Engineering role is preferred.
