Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) is a defence engineering company based in the UK. We design, manufacture and support military vehicles used by the British Army and international customers.





As Facilities Engineer, you will manage projects, resolve any issues and performance matters that may arise working with teams across a multi-project matrix organisation. The role requires excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.


Position Duties and Responsibilities


Write technical specifications (outline and detailed specifications) for new facilities, plant, and equipment. Manage project documentation in accordance with the RBSL processes to satisfy internal and external audits. Manage projects that introduce of Facilities (systems and technologies) into the RBSL manufacturing areas and overall site. Manage the handover of new and refurbished facilities from the supplier/contractor to the internal stakeholders and the FM provider. Manage and coordinate the day-to-day Facilities activities with the Manufacturing Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams. Investigate faults on Facilities related plant and equipment. This will require carrying out route cause analysis to determine the fault, documenting the results in a summary report and providing solutions/ countermeasures. Produce business requirements documentation for investment proposals. Demonstrate a high-level of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) behaviour through positive promotion of safety awareness, risk management/compliance. Develop strong working relationships with all stakeholders. Support the Facilities Manager and Indirect Procurement team. Organise and chair multi-functional project and team reviews as part of a robust stakeholder management approach. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE


A bachelor's degree in engineering or science is desirable, or an HNC qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering/manufacturing/maintenance discipline. A strong engineering, manufacturing, and/or facilities background. Experience and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Professional knowledge of relevant engineering standards/regulations, including Construction, Design and Management (CDM) regulations, PUWER, LOLER, WaH, COSHH, and Safety, Health, and Environment legislation. Experience in working in a highly regulated environment (safety, security, environmental, Business Management Systems) and the ability to follow procedures and processes, dealing with performance management, and leading a team. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present in front of groups. An IOSH Managing Safety qualification and experience of contractor management Proficient in CAD systems (e.g. NX, AutoCAD, or GTX). UK MoD 'SC' security clearance needed (if not SC yet, RBSL will sponsor application).
