We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Facilities, Health & Safety Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management and ideally an IOSH or NEBOSH certification, with the ability to work closely with Production leadership and provide excellent support across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Facilities Management:
+ Oversee all aspects of facilities management across the site
+ Coordinate machinery service agreements and organise maintenance and repairs
+ Ensure the building, yard, and factory are well-organised and maintained
+ Manage pallet wrapping and keep dispatch areas clear
+ Organise and maintain storerooms to high standards
+ Develop and implement facilities management strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
+ Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for facilities-related services
+ Oversee facility renovations, expansions, and improvement projects Health & Safety Management:
+ Champion health & safety initiatives across the site
+ Conduct regular toolbox talks to promote safety awareness
+ Perform and update risk assessments for all areas of the facility
+ Develop and implement health & safety policies and procedures
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations and standards
+ Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents, implementing corrective actions
+ Provide health & safety training to employees at all levels
+ Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
Team Management and Leadership: + Work closely with the Production Director and Manager to support with leadership
+ Ensure team members maintain high standards in their work
+ Provide guidance and support to team members as needed
+ Conduct performance evaluations and set goals for team members
+ Identify training needs and provide opportunities for professional development Collaboration with Production Leadership:
+ Work closely with Production leadership to align facilities and safety initiatives with production goals
+ Provide support and expertise to Production teams on facilities and safety matters
+ Participate in production planning meetings to ensure facilities and safety considerations are addressed
+ Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety Reporting and Documentation:
+ Prepare and present regular reports on facilities management and health & safety performance
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety incidents, and corrective actions
+ Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facilities and safety processes
+ Manage budgets for facilities management and health & safety initiatives Continuous Improvement:
+ Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in facilities management and health & safety
+ Identify opportunities for improvement in facilities and safety processes
