Overview

We are looking for a proactive Facilities & Maintenance Assistant to help keep our buildings safe, efficient and welcoming. In this hands on role, you will support day to day maintenance tasks, carry out basic repairs, assist with facilities checks and ensure our environment runs smoothly. Responsibilities & Duties

General maintenance: ?Cleaning facilities, painting, filling crevices, and performing general upkeep on walls, sidewalks, and other areas. Repairs:? Fixing minor electrical and plumbing issues, repairing equipment and appliances and maintaining heating and cooling systems. Installation: ?Assembling furniture, installing fixtures, window coverings and performing light carpentry tasks like building cabinets. Outdoor and landscaping:? Maintaining green spaces, cleaning parking lots, repairing fences and performing seasonal tasks like shovelling snow and spreading salt Assessment and reporting: ?Inspecting buildings and equipment, identifying hazards, and reporting the need for major repairs to a supervisor. Assisting other trades:?Supporting electricians, plumbers, or HVAC technicians with their repair or installation work.

Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools. Practical skills in areas like painting, plumbing and basic carpentry. Strong problem solving abilities to address maintenance issues independently. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, being able be self-motivated Excellent communication skills for responding to client requests and reporting issues. No specific formal qualifications are required, but experience is highly advantageous

Work environment and conditions

Setting:? Can work in residential homes & offices Hours:? Often involves a standard workday, but overtime or emergency call-outs may be necessary.
Driving Licence: Full UK Driving and over 25 for insurance purposes

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 18,000.00-25,400.00 per year
