The Facilities & Maintenance (F&M) Manager (FM) is responsible for the professional upkeep, functionality, safety, and presentation of all areas of the farm park--including buildings, infrastructure, grounds, public spaces, and connected properties such as the mobile home estate and public footpaths. This is a hands-on role that combines strong technical skills, high craftsmanship standards, and strong time and task management.
The role demands initiative, professionalism, and pride in both work and environment. The FM is expected to be a visible, productive leader who models efficiency, punctuality, and tidy work practices while delivering projects to a high standard.

Staff must be ready to work from the official start time--coffee and personal preparation should be done before this.
Tidy, Safe Workspaces and Areas:
Clean, ordered, and hazard-free workspaces are essential at all times, including during and after tasks.
Farm Park Presentation:
All public areas, toilets, paths, signage, buildings, fences, and landscaped areas should look well-maintained and be visitor-ready (cleanliness and in safe working order)
Expenditure:
The FM is responsible for tracking all Facilities & Maintenance expenditure and ensure that it is inline with agreed budgets.
Mobile Home Estate Grounds:
The FM oversees the presentation of the mobile home estate's outdoor areas, working collaboratively with a part-time gardener and stepping in hands-on as required.
Public Footpath Maintenance:
Public footpaths around and through Odds Farm fall under the F&M Manager's care, ensuring safe, clear, and pleasant walkways for guests and locals.
Health & Safety Compliance:
The FM must demonstrate a sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including HSE guidance, and ensure compliance across all tasks and contractor works.
Contractor & Supplier Coordination:
Responsible for liaising with third-party service providers and contractors to arrange timely, efficient, and safe delivery of works.
Utility Monitoring & Finance Support:
The FM will carry out monthly and quarterly meter readings for electricity and water, across relevant areas of the property.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver maintenance tasks with efficiency and a professional standard of craftsmanship.
Lead on daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning, presentation, and maintenance tasks across guest and back-of-house areas.
Coordinate external contractors and suppliers, manage their schedules, and ensure high standards of service and H&S compliance.
Manage and maintain all tools, machinery, storage and workshop areas.
Conduct basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance tasks confidently, safely and to a high standard
Prepare for and support seasonal installations, events, and stage/sound setup requirements.
Oversee and conduct routine H&S checks, including fire safety, emergency lighting, and machinery safety inspections.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with up-to-date HSE guidelines, and that proper PPE, signage, and RAMS are in place when required.
Work with the General Manager to plan larger works, equipment purchases, budgetary control and strategic improvements.
Guide, motivate and develop the Facilities Assistant
Accurately record and submit water and electric meter readings on a monthly and quarterly basis to support internal utilities tracking and finance reporting.
Ensure mobile home estate grounds are visually appealing and well-kept in collaboration with the part-time gardener.
Regularly inspect and maintain public footpaths to ensure safety, accessibility, and aesthetic presentation.
