We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The role is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted facility operations. This role supports day-to-day facility upkeep and may involve electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general handyman tasks.
Contracted Hours: 45 hrs per week
Working Hours: Mon-Fri (7am-4.30pm)
Job Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
Provide expert support for building services and fabrication machinery installation, advice, maintenance and servicing. Machinery includes Profiling machines, T-Bend and Guillotines.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement appropriate repairs.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all facility areas including common areas, restrooms, and workspaces.
Monitor and respond to maintenance requests.
Coordinate with outside contractors for specialised repairs or services.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in facility improvements and special projects as needed.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and report issues to the Senior Fabricator Supervisors.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required
Technical training or certification in building maintenance or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repair.
Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work in various conditions (e.g., heights, confined spaces, outdoors).
Basic computer skills for logging work orders and maintenance records.
