We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our company's buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are safe, fully functional, and compliant with health and safety regulations. You will manage a team of maintenance staff, coordinate with external vendors, and develop maintenance schedules to prevent downtime and minimize repair costs. Your duties will include supervising cleaning and security services, planning and executing building repairs or renovations, and managing budgets and contracts related to facility services.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in facilities management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. You should be familiar with building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, and possess excellent organizational and communication abilities. Additional responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and responding promptly to emergencies or urgent maintenance needs. Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and experience implementing cost-saving measures will be considered an asset.
To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Professional certifications such as CFM or FMP are highly desirable.
