About The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee and ensure the efficient management of our office and manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing building operations, maintenance, health and safety compliance, and site security, while delivering cost-effective solutions and excellent customer service.
Ability to hold Security Clearance - 5 years residence in the UK
What you'll being doing (but not limited to):
Oversee day-to-day operations of the building(s), ensuring all facilities are safe, secure, functional and well-maintained
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
Supervise and co-ordinate staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure optimal service delivery
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fire safety standards, security regulations, and environmental policies
Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs, repairs, and refurbishments
Manage contracts and service agreements, negotiating cost-effective solutions and maintaining vendor relationships
Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
Handle staff complaints or facility related requests in a professional and timely manner
Provide strategic input into long-term facility planning and improvements
Essential Skills and Experiences:
Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role
Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and health and safety regulations
Excellent organisational, time management, and leadership skills
Proficiency in using facilities management software and MS Office Suite
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues effectively
Desired Skills and Experiences:
Relevant qualifications in facilities management, engineering, or a related field (e.g., BIFM, IWFM certification) are highly desirable
Willing to work out of hours when required to ensure the continued operation of the site
Health & Safety certifications (e.g, NEBOSH)
First Aid and Fire Safety certifications
