Facilities Officer

Preston, United Kingdom

Job Description

Facilities Officer
37 hours per week, based in Preston
28,000 per annum
18 Month Fixed Term Contract
Think of yourself as the superhero of our buildings and fleet - and the friendly face behind our colleague service desk! One minute you're answering queries and solving problems, the next you're testing alarms or coordinating office moves. No two days are the same - and that's what makes it exciting!
What you will be doing in this role:

  • Running our colleague service desk like a pro - first-line facilties and fleet support and speedy solutions.
  • Keeping our buildings safe, secure, and in tip-top shape.
  • Managing maintenance schedules and making sure everything works like clockwork.
  • Administering fleet records and ensuring compliance.
  • Occasionally stepping into reception to greet visitors with a winning smile.
What we are looking for in you:
  • You'll be organised, friendly, and ready to roll up your sleeves.
  • You'll be a great communicator (you'll talk to everyone from contractors to colleagues and tenants).
  • You'll need to be tech-savvy, with great MS Office skills.
  • You'll have full driving licence, and a vehicle insured for business use (because you'll be on the move).
  • You'll be flexible enough to handle the odd evening or weekend emergency.
