Site Based and Full-Time role (40 hours per week) Temporary 3 month contract only

Tropical Marine Centre is a world-leading marine livestock business which also distributes and manufactures a large range of other products associated with fishkeeping and animal husbandry. It is a privately-owned group of companies with trading branches across the UK and in Europe, employing more than 70 people.

Overview

An opportunity has arisen at our head office within the Facilities team. We're looking for a practical, hands-on individual to support our Operations Manager and broader operations team on a 3-month temporary contract. This is a varied role ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of tasks throughout the day, including driving, light production work, and general site upkeep.

This role offers flexibility in daily responsibilities and would suit someone with a 'can-do' attitude, a bit of DIY savvy, and a willingness to get stuck in wherever needed. The role may extend to an additional several weeks.

Responsibilities:

Delivery Driving: Transport dry goods and supplies using a long wheelbase van to and from various locations.

Assembly Line Work: Support light production/assembly tasks on our dry goods production line.

Site Housekeeping: Assist with general maintenance and cleanliness of the site, including recycling, waste management, and tidying workspaces.

Ad Hoc DIY Tasks: Carry out small maintenance or repair tasks across the site (e.g., assembling shelving, fixing minor issues).

Support to Facilities Manager: Provide hands-on support for ongoing facilities projects, site upkeep, and logistics.

Required skills and approach:

Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and moving boxes.

Able to work efficiently as part of a team and independently.

Confident and competent driver - must be able to drive a long wheelbase van.

Experience with DIY or hands-on practical work is a strong plus.

Reliable, flexible, and proactive - you're happy to switch between tasks depending on the needs of the day.

Health & safety awareness a bonus, but training will be provided.

Working hours can be flexible, this is a site-based role in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire.

Pay: 25,500.00-28,500.00 per year
