We are looking to recruit a Facilities Operative - Domestic Assistant to join our award-winning team, who are passionate about the Facilities Management industry. You will need to have a positive can-do attitude with a strong customer service background and be an excellent communicator as well as keeping calm under pressure. A knowledge of the Higher Education sector would be an advantage but not essential.
About the Role
We are seeking a Facilities Operative - domestic Assistant, permanent term time only, working 15 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday 06.30 - 09.30
  • Monday to Friday 10.00 - 13.00
Occasional flexible working may be required to support open days and visit days at the weekends.
As part of the Facilities Team, the post holder will play a key role in delivering a professional, customer-focused, compliant, and cost-effective FM service to support the university's core objectives.
Some of the duties will include but not limited to:
  • provide a professional cleaning service, undertaking a comprehensive range of light and heavy cleaning and using the appropriate equipment
  • all aspects of cleaning both internally and externally in all buildings to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, will include but not be limited to: dusting, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, washing floors, cleaning toilets and basic external cleaning (building entrances, litter picking etc.) as identified
  • replenish consumables such as paper towels, soap and toilet rolls, in toilets, washrooms and staff kitchenettes
  • develop a pride in place culture to ensure we continue to deliver excellent, customer focussed services which support key University agendas
