Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Team as a Facilities Operative - Ward Catering working at the Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran.We are looking for highly motivated and energetic individuals who are committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.We have three posts available:Post 1 - 20 hours per week, 15:00 - 20:00 4 shifts per weekPost 2 - 27 hours per week, 07:00 - 19:30 2 - 3 shifts per weekPost 3 - 36 hours per week, 07:00 - 19:30 3 shifts per weekPrevious experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.Main duties of the jobThe duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters.Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.About usAneurin Bevan University Health Board is a multi-award winning NHS organisation with a passion for caring. • Willingness to undertake & complete the ABUHB facilities competency workbook (within 6 months)
• Willingness to undertake & complete statutory & mandatory training including Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Willingness to undertake future training as required by the post

• BIFM/NVQ level 2

• Experience of working in a healthcare or hospitality environment

• Able to communicate effectively with good interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
