As a Facilities & Support Services Co-ordinator, you'll keep the North Shropshire portfolio in tiptop condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit and love the place.


This is a unique opportunity for someone to support with facilities operations and assist with our business services offer.


There will be occasional weekend working required (approximately one day per month, with time off the following week).


Accommodation is provided to the postholder for the proper or better performance of their duties in accordance with Trust criteria and HMRC rules.





What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Facilities and Support Services Manager, you'll be part of a team consisting of four Facilities Assistants and an Assistant Business Services Co-ordinator. You'll be based at Attingham Park, but there may be occasions where you'll be required to travel to neighbouring properties.


Attingham is a busy and thriving place to be, with no two days being the same. The friendly and supportive team here today conserve and care for the estate carrying on the legacy of the eighth Lord and Lady Berwick who left the estate to the National Trust in 1947.



What you'll be doing:You'll be responsible for supporting delivery of the facilities & business services function. You'll help the property team meet their goals by keeping standards high, and your advice and experience may also be sought by others. You'll co-ordinate maintenance and repairs (reactive, as well as planned and preventative), work with contractors, coordinate volunteers, respond promptly to issues, and champion best practice when it comes to compliance systems and business support.


Looking after a busy portfolio including Attingham Park and neighbouring Sunnycroft, your role will certainly see a lot of variety. A typical day may range from co-ordinating compliance testing, meeting contractors and updating records using our in-house compliance systems.



Who we're looking forTo deliver this role successfully, you'll need:


experience in a facilities & business services environment knowledge of health & safety, fire & security procedures experience of records management and information systems including good IT skills (Microsoft Office, including Excel) excellent communication skills to be a good team player to have a proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving to have good stakeholder management and customer service skills high attention to detail with effective time and workload management
