About the role



Working as a Facilities Superintendent (Site Supervisor/Facilities Manager) Responsible for the day-to-day management of contractors and indirect management of maintenance staff - ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

What you'll be doing



Responsible for managing safety-critical depot work and ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies.



Ensuring all staff and contractors are aware of and adhere to site safety procedures and regulations.



Conducting regular site inspections and audits to maintain compliance and identify areas for improvement.



Managing site induction, training, and competence records for all personnel.



Overseeing on-site incidents and accident investigations, reporting, and follow-up actions.



Coordinating site logistics, including access, deliveries, and waste management.



Managing site budgets, resources, and schedules to meet project and operational targets.



Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure requirements are met.



Supporting recruitment and onboarding of site staff.



Ensuring all statutory inspections and maintenance activities are completed on time.



Maintaining accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance.

Who we're looking for



Strong understanding of construction and facilities management practices



Experience working in a unionised environment



Experience in coaching and performance management



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



Conflict management skills



Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities



Computer literate



Full UK driving licence



Strong analytical and report writing skills



Demonstrable experience in site/facility management within construction or a related industry - desirable



IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certificated training - desirable



ILM or equivalent management qualification - desirable
