To co-ordinate with Managers the production plan and to achieve the agreed production plan by the most effective utilisation of materials, machinery, and staff resource, within the quality and hygienic regulatory requirements.
To fully deploy process operational awareness / skills to facilitate provision of cover and team leadership.
Provide guidance and leadership focused around delivering of manufacturing KPI's and increasing year on year performance.
To communicate, report and performance manage the available manufacturing resources whilst maintaining good industrial relations within a positive and supportive environment.
Establish management and communication practices to include all employees' positive involvement with full training and opportunity for constructive input and action.
To promote, monitor and maintain a high standard of occupational health and safety, continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
Required
Proven track record in cost control, health and safety, management of quality systems and change management programmes
Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably food related)
Proven track record of managing large teams
Level 3 in H&S. Either IOSH Managing Safely or Cranswick equivalent.
