Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Factory Operative / Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and setting up various manufacturing equipment.

Forklift experience preferred.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience and the ability to learn set up of machinery. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced facility where precision and safety are paramount.

Duties

Operate a variety of manual & semi-automatic machinery including presses, box making machines, bandsaws & printers. Set up tooling and fixtures on machines, ensuring proper calibration. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to maintain optimal performance. Handle materials safely using forklifts (training possible) and other materials handling equipment. Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product specifications are met. Assist with assembly line tasks, fabrication, welding, packaging, and materials handling as needed. Use hand tools for assembly, fabrication, or adjustments during production runs. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

Ability to read job-sheets and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with factory safety procedures and warehouse experience is desirable. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and quality checks. Ability to operate hand tools effectively for assembly or fabrication tasks. Prior factory or manufacturing experience preferred; candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
