Factory Operatives

to join our

Day Shift

team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Role Overview:

As a Day Shift Factory Operative, you will play a key role in the production of high-quality, bespoke Insulated glass units. This will involve manual lifting, machine operation, and ensuring the smooth flow of the production line while maintaining the highest safety standards. You will also be responsible for overseeing quality control, performing regular inspections of the glass, and ensuring that all products meet our custom specifications. Your role will be critical in maintaining the high standards of both product quality and efficiency. You will be working on the Day Shift from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control:

Inspect glass products regularly to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, looking for any defects or discrepancies.

Custom Orders:

Ensure that glass units are produced to exact specifications and meet customer requirements.

Production Efficiency:

Operate machinery and assist in the smooth operation of the production line, ensuring timely and accurate manufacturing of IGU's

Safety Compliance:

Maintain high safety standards throughout the production process, including proper handling and use of equipment.

Documentation & Reporting:

Accurately record quality checks, production details, and any adjustments made to the process for traceability.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of custom orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Lifting & Handling:

Move and handle large glass panels and materials with care.

Machine Operation:

Operate a variety of production machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the company's high-quality standards.

General Factory Duties:

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the factory to ensure a safe working environment.

Teamwork:

Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets.

Hours:

Monday to Friday:

06:00am to 14:00pm - 40 hours per week

30 minutes paid break

per shift

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting Rate:

12.21 per hour

Overtime

available at enhanced pay rates when applicable.

Monthly Attendance/Production Bonus

Holiday entitlement:

- 4weeks + bank holidays = 28 per year +1 shift after 3 years service

Requirements:

Previous experience in a factory or warehouse environment is beneficial, though not essential. Ability to safely lift and carry heavy loads. Comfortable working with machinery and a willingness to learn new processes. High attention to detail, ensuring the delivery of top-quality products. Flexibility to work night shifts. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
