About the Role

We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our production team, responsible for commissioning complex X-ray systems for baggage and parcel screening. This hands-on role involves electrical start-up, system testing, and configuration of hardware and software components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical start-up and testing of X-ray systems Earth bond testing and fault diagnosis (HVPS, A/C, CT Tubes) Configuration and testing of image reconstruction and threat detection systems PLC and HMI setup (Allen Bradley/RS Logix preferred) Can bus system configuration Image Quality (IQ) machine setup Assembly and troubleshooting of network/workstation solutions Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Collaborate with engineering and QA to resolve issues Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Experience with X-ray equipment preferred but not essential Familiarity with PLCs, Can bus, and both Microsoft and Linux systems Strong fault-finding skills on electrical panels and circuits Analytical mindset with good communication skills Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, or CI is a plus HNC or equivalent qualification, or 2-3 years of relevant experience
