TRADING STANDARDS





An opportunity has arisen to join the Safety and Investigations Team within the Public Health and Protection Division.





We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Trading Standards Service. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, forward thinking team to enforce and advise on current Safety and Fair Trading legislation to manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers.





The candidate will also deal with complaints, enquiries and investigations assigned to the team, take part in survey work, liaise and work with other teams within Public Health and Protection Division and external agencies.





The candidate will need to have Enforcement experience and knowledge of Safety and Fair Trading legislation along with knowledge and experience of criminal investigation and prosecution processes. The candidate will be expected to be suitably qualified to carry out this role and it would be desirable for the candidate to possess the Diploma in Consumer Affairs & Trading Standards or equivalent.





The post has potential for career progression to Grade 8





The post will be based at Public Health and Protection, Ty Elai, Dinas Isaf East, Williamstown, Tonypandy CF40 1NY
