An excellent opportunity has become available for a Band 7 Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join the Berkshire CAMH S West Specialist Community Team (SCT) covering Reading, Wokingham and Newbury localities. This role is part - time (0. 8 wte, 4 days a week) based at Erlegh House , within the beautiful grounds of the University of Reading , which has free parking.



The Specialist Community Teams provide assessments , therapeutic interventions, and care coordination for children and young people who are experiencing moderate to severe complex mental health difficulties. We work as a close and supportive multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other CAMHS teams and external agencies to provide high quality and holistic mental health care to young people.



As a newly qualified member of the team, you will be supported through regular clinical and management supervision, as well as receiving support and guidance through the MDT. There will be opportunity to work with families from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds, of different genders, sexual orientations, and abilities.



The ideal clinician will be thoughtful and reflective, and someone who is a team player. You will be part of a warm, compassionate and experienced team. There will be a supportive induction, regular supervision and plenty of in-house training opportunities to develop your skills .



P rovide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families, as appropriate .



P rovide care co-ordination for young people open to the S ervice .



I ndependently manage an appropriately sized caseload .



U se supervision effectively .



O ffer supervision and training to junior colleagues and other agencies as appropriate .



W ork with colleagues to support the clinical leadership of the team .



W ork effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and within a multiagency system .



W ork autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice .



C ontribute to audit, service development and research, as appropriate .



M aintain own continuing professional development and contribute to team professional development initiatives .
