We are looking to appoint a Family Engagement Worker with lived experience of care and/or support from services such as social work, either as a parent or as a child themselves to work closely with families. This role would be suitable for a person with good communication skills, and who is keen to be solution focused and provide the highest quality experience for families.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your own knowledge and personal experience of involvement with social workers and / or services to influence and achieve change to make a positive difference for others and improve outcomes for children.

NSPCC are developing a new service to improve the mental health of Infants and young children. Collaborating with the University of Glasgow and funded by What Works in Children\'s Social Care, the project will trial a new service called Infant, Parent Support (IPS). The Family Engagement Workers will be embedded within the multi-disciplinary (social workers, mental health professionals and other support workers) teams based in either Bromley or Glasgow. As an integral and highly valued member of the team, the Family Engagement Worker, informed by their own experiences of working with services will provide support and practical assistance to families, helping them to focus on achievable goals using a strengths-based approach.
