We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to become part of our Family Group Conferencing Team.



The successful candidate will be experienced in working with children and their families across all levels of the CONR.



You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, facilitation and review of Family Group conferences in Blackburn with Darwen in a way that responds appropriately to the needs of individual families from a diversity of backgrounds.





You will work in partnership with Children's services and other agencies to make specific and suitable arrangements for families, to prepare the child and family for the Family Group Conference.





The role will entail you to be skilled in undertaking purposeful direct work with children and young people to really gain an understanding of their lived experiences and what support they feel they need to improve their daily lives and outcomes.





The candidate will be required to work collaboratively with families in a strength based, trauma informed and empathic approach. The Family Group Conference Co-ordinator will ensure that the FGC model offered to families is of consistently good practice that adheres to the Family Rights Group.





In order to accomplish all this for our children, young people and their families you will receive a thorough induction and training, regular supervision, annual appraisal and experience a strong and supportive team culture.





A relevant NVQ Level 4/5 or equivalent in relevant field such as Social Work/Education/Community work/mediation/youth work.
